"Handbasket" by Wax [Video]

"Now by the third day in heaven I was ready to drink/
My tolerance level was starting to shrink/
So for the next four days, I searched near and far/
And not one liquor store, not a single bar/"

"Dreamin" by Wax [Music Video]

"You rat bastard, rap's a task that Wax mastered/
Shut the fuck up I won't pass the last word/
Gotta homie who's a fat ass nerd/
That'll crash your website after he hacks your password/"

Wax dropped a set of visuals for the first track from his 2013 project, "Continue...". Haven't heard much from Wax up until this video, but I assume he's been busy with a combination of touring and creating new shit. I really like this song and video... straight spittin' and the visuals are done really well. Check it!

"Good Night" by Wax [Music Video]

"I'm the baddest of the bad, raddest of the rad/
I'm the worst nightmare that your dad has ever had/
Cuz your mom don't miss him, she low key diss him/
Cuz he taste my balls every time she kiss him/"

This video is awesome. Wax released this video today featuring a "live performance", but it ends up having some other shit goin' on in it too. As usual, he kills it and those drums sound sick.

"Feels Good" by Wax [Music Video]

"I know talented musicians on the ground floor/
Lookin up at me like 'what the fuck you feeling down for?'/
How come compared to smiling you always frown more/
Pussy I'm at UPS workin, wearing these brown shorts/"

The title of this song describes what it's like to listen to. It's got an uplifting beat and Wax kills it as usual. The catchy hook makes the song complete, and after murking that BET cypher, this video is perfect to re-establish why he was there in the first place. Sick track, check it.

BET Hip Hop Awards Cypher ft. Jon Connor, Rittz, Wax, Rapsody & Emis Killa

I didn't watch the BET Hip Hop Awards because I checked all of the nominees for all of the categories and decided it probably wouldn't interest me. But some of these cyphers are dope. This is just one that I liked, but you can click here if you'd like to check out the other ones. I thought Wax, Rittz and Jon Connor killed this shit. Check it.

"Born on the 4th of July" by Dale Firebird

"Only pasta I eat is mac and cheese/
I don't drive it if it's Japanese/
I don't buy it if it's made in Europe/
And I sure don't eat it if it's maple syrup/"

This is my favourite American rapper, straight up. I don't even care if this guy doesn't like Canadians, cuz his rhymes and swag are on point! Dale Firebird, ladies and gentleman!

"I Shoulda Tried Harder" by Wax

"I couldn't imagine what woulda happened/
If God wouldn't have made me good at rappin'/
It's only cuz of that, a good life I provide myself/
Just think, what if I'd applied myself/"

This track is for all of us. And the video is a humorous reminder that we should all try a bit harder when it comes to achieving our goals. Big Wax is one of my favourite artists when it comes to making straightforward music with a creative message and positive vibe. This track's from Wax's recently released album, "Continue", which can be purchased if you click here.

"We Can't All Be Heroes" by Wax

"I remember when there wasn't no pressure I'd just do this/
Before the music was part of a to-do list/
I love writing, but why? I'm clueless/
It's peaceful yet deceitful... like a buddhist Judas/"

We're finally back after taking an unintended break from blogging over the holidays. I was personally anticipating some new music to ring 2013 in, but nothing's been catching my ear enough to blog. That's until now lol. I finally found some tracks worth sharing today, this video being one of them. "We Can't All Be Heroes" is a very deep track with a mellow, yet upbeat instrumental that fits perfectly to the topic. Wax outlines the troubles that can occur when you're set on chasing your dreams. From forming social problems to forming drug problems, Wax's storytelling style in this song gives you a different perspective on what fighting for success can do to you. Plus the rhymes are really fucking good lol. Check it!

"Toothbrush" by Wax

"I come home and you're on my couch/
Go back to your momma's house/
I just wanted to relax and unwind on it/
You laid out smokin' weed, drinkin' wine on it/"

Over the past year, one artist that has gained my respect, is the internet-based emcee, Wax. This guy's really clever when it comes to forming ideas to make new songs with. He's got some of the most unique ideas for songs that i've ever heard, and this song right here adds another to the list. This one's called "Toothbrush" starts off with him realizing there's an extra toothbrush in his bathroom. It proceeds to lead into a girl he's fuckin' who just invites herself to live with him, without his say. I think this is the same chick from his "Rosana" video. And to be honest... I'm not sick of seeing her one bit. Check it lol.

"Stupefied" by Wax [Live Performance]

"Simple questions are unanswerable/
And the hard truth becomes much less durable/
How can I tell you that I'm working at a grocery store/
You probably dated stock brokers before/"

Man. I really like the direction that Wax is taking with his music. It has some crazy soul/funk/r&b flavour mixed in with flawless rapping, every time. I'm not sure if this song's new or not, but it's my first time hearing it. I think a concert like this would be really cool to attend. I stated in the title that this songs by Wax, and I didn't mean to exclude the band because they're fucking talented as well. This is some next level shit that isn't seen very often. Check it!

"Rosana" by Wax

"Me and her have been together for like a couple months/
Mami got that poonany sweeter than peanut butter crunch/
I hit it from the back like a sucker punch/
Bust a nut, back to the front for some uppercuts/"

This song makes me want burritos. And a Mexican babe to help me clean, squirt ketchup on my food for me and play at the playground with. Just watch the video, you'll understand. Wax's creative mind has done it again, and made a very cool video. All of the "sex scenes" are pretty funny once you see the reality of em. I like the beat with the guitars and the horns, and as always, Wax has some sick lyrics and a catchy chorus. The chick who plays Rosana is fine as hell as well. So if you don't like all aspects of this video, at least you'll like one. Chiggy check it!

"Pictures of You" by Wax

"Oops, all over your chest/
But when I open up my eyes, It's all over my computer desk/
Go to sleep, no shame, no sorrow/
And I ain't gotta take your ass to breakfast tomorrow/"

You gotta love the sense of humour that Wax reflects in his music. From falling in love to the cashier of his medicinal dispensary, to masturbating to his female Facebook friends' pictures, Wax demonstrates just how creative he really is. This track, "Pictures of You" is the one about creepily jerking off. It's pretty hillarious. He murks the beat provided by 3 of his buddies who perform the instrumental live. They gotta guitar, Maschine drums, piano bass, and some fucked up synth board that I'm still unsure of. This is a display of crazy talent from each person in the video and is really entertaining. Open ya Earz!
