"Fuck Em" by JD Era

"Too many switch-siders, dick riders/
Rap liars, information providers/
Probly wearing wires, hate violence, love sirens/
You police speed dialers/"

Not usually a fan of this kinda music but I thought this song was pretty good. Canadian Ice H20 artist, JD Era posted this track to his SoundCloud a couple of days ago to get one simple message out there. "They ain't fuckin with us then fuck em!".

"Lie, Cheat, Steal" by Run the Jewels [Music Video]

"Teabag a pirhana tank, heart barely beatin'/
A wild one, who'll swim like directly after he's eaten/
While holdin' a toaster oven that's plugged with a fork in it/
Cuz death by electrocution's like life in New York, isn't it/"

Killer Mike and El-P just dropped some visuals for track 6 of their October 2014 release, "Run the Jewels 2". Haven't heard much from that project yet, but I like how this song/video turned out. They definitely have a unique sound and some fresh ideas. Check some previews of their album by clicking here

"Change Gonna Come" by Shuko ft. Saigon, Vinnie Paz & RA the Rugged Man

"OK, now for my last election/
I'm under pressure like Manning without the pass protection/
Television is just a weapon of mass deception/
Why you think all these women is gettin' ass injections?/"

German producer, Shuko, is releasing an album on February 3, which features the likes of Masta Ace, Evidence, B-Real, Blu, Talib Kweli & much more. I found this track from the project which features 3 artists that I really enjoy listening to. It's weird hearing these 3 vicious emcees collaborate over such a pop-sounding beat, but their verses are still dope and the message is strong. Check it!

"Paper Trail$" by Joey Bada$$ [prod. by DJ Premier]

"Balenciagas, Badass, my saga with the Henny agua/
Me and my niggas tryna eat, you pussies empanada/
The flow like plenty lava, with just a penny I could/
Multiply my wealth and make you work for me for twenty hours/"

I haven't yet had a chance to check Joey Bada$$' latest album, but DJ Premier shared this joint (which he produced) on social media. I decided to check it out and it's pretty dope. I really like Joey's idea for this song and it compliments the title of his album perfectly. Not to mention he's mastered his lyrics and delivery. Gotta give props to this man for keeping the real essence of hip-hop alive. Check it!

"Dreamin" by Wax [Music Video]

"You rat bastard, rap's a task that Wax mastered/
Shut the fuck up I won't pass the last word/
Gotta homie who's a fat ass nerd/
That'll crash your website after he hacks your password/"

Wax dropped a set of visuals for the first track from his 2013 project, "Continue...". Haven't heard much from Wax up until this video, but I assume he's been busy with a combination of touring and creating new shit. I really like this song and video... straight spittin' and the visuals are done really well. Check it!

"Aw Yeah? (interVENTion)" by Tech N9ne

"They gotta suffer the penalty cuz of a education/
Nobody wanna say nothing but I gotta call an abomination/
Pissed off, thinkin' what this cost/
What these babies blood drippin for, so I say in Latin 'listen Lord'/"

Tech took to social media a couple of days ago to gain confirmation from his fans as to whether or not he should leak a new song. The fans have spoken and Tech released Track 1 from his upcoming album, "Special Effects", which drops May 5th. This track's amazing in my opinion and provides some angst toward current situations in the world. Some different shit from Tech. Check it!

"Media Midgets" by RA The Rugged Man [Music Video]

"Who's to blame when the brain of the next insane psycho flips/
Brain cells are programmed like they're membrane micro chips/
I'm guns and bible, I'm pro-life and pro-war, pro-fighting/
Profanity, writing, reciting, gambling, tossing the dice/"

This video reminds me of Borderlands or some shit. Pretty creepy and it's a very well done set of visuals. I really like this track, it has a nice smooth vibe to it and RA goes in n says some shit. Check it!

"Mural" by Lupe Fiasco [Audio]

"You gotta treat your vocal chords like it's a fortress/
And treat every single one of your words like reinforcements/
And especially when you recording cuz that's the portion that's important/
When I was reporting it I was poor, but now I'm more than/"

I really haven't heard much about Lupe's upcoming album, "Tetsuo & Youth", but it seems like that's how it always happens for me. I always end up getting his albums a bit late and regretting that I wasn't there to pick it up day one. These (pretty much) 9 minutes will prove to anybody that Lupe definitely hasn't lost it. Dope shit... check it!

KOTD Battle: Arcane VS Cortez [Video]

KOTD dropped a few new battles from Flatline 3 in the past few weeks. I checked this one out and thought it was pretty dope. Both Cortez and Arcane had a bunch of good lines. Ontario VS New York right here folks!

"Deja Vu" by Alyssa Marie [Live Performance]

"No backbone strong enough to hold this weight/
Wait.. who's controlling my fate?/
Did the lasso break? Is all of this a bad joke?
Did I plateau and fall flat onto my face?/"

This is fucking sick. Alyssa Marie has always been a beast, and probably one of the most lyrical female emcees I've ever heard. To top it all off, she has a band playing the music behind her and they absolutely kill it too! Such a dope video, this girl deserves more recognition. Check it!

"Stand Up" by Chali 2na [Music Video]

"I survive cuz I breathe underwater, people call me Aquaman/
Easy muscle with a little bit of greezy hustle like I owned a taco stand/
Treat a brotha like a nacho man, everybody covered in melted cheese/
With the lifestyle, hip hop is so iced out, the wealthy emcees they're ????? to freeze/"

DAMN. Chali 2na rode this beat with finesse. Not used to hearing him spit this fast and he killed it. He always spits some dope lyrics but this is a step up from what I expect from him flow-wise. Dope shit.. you definitely gotta check this one!

"Mental" by Madchild ft. Demrick [Music Video]

"Involuntarily solitary confinement/
No one to confide in, quiet in my environment/
Mentally I'm way off balance and off kilter/
Brain's way out of whack that's why I rap without a filter/"

Madchild recently introduced Philly native, Demrick into his Battle Axe Warrior family. This track sets the tone for the beginning of their partnership, and it sets it off with a bang. C-Lance produced this beat which is a perfect fit for Madchild's style and Demrick adapts flawlessly. This one's a banger... Check it!

"Left Home, Write Home" by Ngajuana

"You could say that his genesis, started with being senseless/
Evolved into being censor-less through passion and relentlessness/
Resulting in the birth of a rapper, who through his pen it lives/
Sitting at the bed of hip-hop with straight attentiveness/"

More dope Canadian shit for ya. This track's from London, Ontario's own, Ngajuana. This one's got some rural funk to it, and NGA kills it as usual. I really dig the chorus with that acoustic beat. Check it!

"Human" by emoceans.

"Cuz it's 4am and I'm drunk, like what the fuck am I doing?/
I'm tryna get more fucked up to the point that I am spewing/
I smoke one and I sit down and start thinking the truth is truant/
Then I'm like fuck it, all I know is we're all human/"

New shit from emoceans. This guy's always gotta strange, trippy sound that I don't hear too much of. Definitely a unique sound that suits him and he kills it. Here's some dope shit from my city for yall!

"January On Lake Street" by Atmosphere [Music Video]

"Claim that you ain't afraid to die/
Then why are you afraid to fly, you better face the heights/
Get your bravery stripes or get your name denied/
Cuz you was waiting for a safer ride/"

More dope January 1st visuals, this time from Atmosphere. Although I didn't like Southsiders as much as a lot of Atmosphere's past projects, it was still pretty dope. This was one of the better songs in my opinion. The visuals are a little abstract which suits Atmosphere perfect. Check it!

"Trapazoid" by Dope D.O.D. [Music Video]

"I draw the borderline again,
Hella bad, the devil laughs/
Passin' me a Heineken,
Shadow cast on my mellow half/"

Dope DOD isn't waiting to get 2015 on the go. Being that their visuals are always on point, it's no surprise that this video is done really well. These European savages are fucked up but for some reason I dig em. Check it!
