Brother Ali just dropped this project, "Left In the Deck", for the fans to stream for free. The only catch is you gotta listen to it cassette style haha. I was not expecting this project, didn't know anything of it until today actually. But I can't wait to listen through it because I know Brother Ali's a beast. Check this shit!

Some new visuals for this "Legends Never Die" collaboration dropped today. RA brings Brother Ali and Masta Ace back to the time of tommy guns and fly suits. Looks like they probly had a lot of fun filming this shit. Check it.
One album that I'm looking forward to this month is RA the Rugged Man's "Legends Never Die", which will be released on April 30. This video takes you behind the scenes of just one of the songs from the album. First off, Mr. Green takes you through the production process of the song's instrumental, and leads into RA goin nuts over Brother Ali's part. Later on RA steps in the booth and starts wreckin shit. The scratch part he was showing off sounds so sick.. I need to contact that DJ lol. Anyways, check it.

He touched on a few subjects that seem pretty important for the time, but he did it with flawless rhyme n rhythm. This is one of the more mellow tracks from the album which Brother Ali released a video for today. It has a cool montage of different work related scenes and presents a somewhat blue collared point of view.
How many more times we gotta hear that lame line, "I'm inspiring em."

This is pretty damn G. I'm loving the old school, don't give a damn vibe coming from this track. Public Enemy still bringing the revolution and having Brother Ali come in to take the lyrics up a notch was sick. All in all I just shared this for the raw feeling it had that used to be a lot more prevalent in hip hop. Ya know, guys just rapping right at you about the problems they see, not givin a FUCK if the girls can dance to it and if the guys can get their swag on. GET UP, STAND UP!

Over the past year or so, I've become a fan of labelmates Brother Ali and Atmosphere. They're both really good at describing their deep thoughts or creative ideas through rhymes. On top of that, they always have really cool beats to rap over. I found this track by Atmosphere that features Brother Ali, and two other emcees that I have no knowledge of. But both Haphduzn and Carnage the Executioner were able to keep up with Slug and Ali. Everybody had a sick verse in this track. Sick beat as well. Check that shit.

I don't know about the rest of this crazy world. But all week I've been itchin' for today to come. And it's only Tuesday. Today was the release of Brother Ali's latest album, "Mourning in America and Dreaming in Colour", so it was only right that I went and bought the ONLY copy from my local CD store. All of the songs off the album are worth sharing. He kills all the verses, and the Jake One production is sooo fucking sick. It's a crazy album, so imma share one track with you to show you what I mean. This one's about the relationship between entertainment and the people oppressed through slavery to bring this entertainment to powerful people. History class in the poetic words of a legendary emcee. This is that real hip-hop yall!

Awww yeah. Today's a good day for this blog because we keep on finding more ill shit to share with you. Today I found another video from Brother Ali, and it's awesome. This track's from his album "Mourning in America and Dreaming in Colour", which comes out on the 18th of this month. So far all of the previews and solo tracks that have been released for this album have got me anxious to hear what the whole thing sounds like. This one visits different situations of life that people all around the world face. Outlining the bullshit within society these days, Brother Ali manages to turn painful situations into poetic lyrics on top of a feel-good beat. This shit's gonna be on my iPod fo sho.

God damn. This video is a reminder to anybody who ever thought Brother Ali isn't killin' every beat he touches. It was sick hearing him over these beats as opposed to the kind he usually spits over. I'm a huge fan of his albums but it'd still be sick to hear him rap over some harder beats, like the 2nd one (which he absolutely destroyed). Every verse he dropped was awesome though. If you like consistent rhymes, check this shit.

Ever since I heard this guy's album, "Us", I've been a fan of his music. Brother Ali is a very talented artist with his own unique sound. I've also seen him actually freestyle, and he's insane off the top. But anyways, these are just a few reasons why I'm excited for his upcoming album, "Mourning in America and Dreaming in Colour". This track right here, "Mourning in America" is one of the few releases from the album that drops on September 18, 2012. The Jake One production is sick as usual, with a kind of evil, yet upbeat feel to it. Which goes along with all of the shit Brother Ali spits about. This is some deep shit.

Whattup world! This video just came out today, and totally surprised me. Not even the fact that it's a new song that I wasn't anticipating, but I was surprised by the different side of Brother Ali. I kinda like the attitude he had in this song, which was amped up even more by the cool video effects and the crazy beat produced by Jake One. The end of the video displayed the title of Brother Ali's next project, "Mourning in America and Dreaming in Colour", which I'm not even sure if this song is a part of. Either way, it's got me wanting to hear the new album, which hits stores on August 13, 2012. Open ya Earz!
Brother Ali is back in town! Here's a video that he released a couple weeks ago. It's called "Shine On", and is a track off his new mixtape, "The Bite Marked Heart". I really like how the video was filmed, and the song itself takes a huge left turn. Just listen to the story he tells and you'll see what I mean. Open ya earz!
