Some new visuals for this "Legends Never Die" collaboration dropped today. RA brings Brother Ali and Masta Ace back to the time of tommy guns and fly suits. Looks like they probly had a lot of fun filming this shit. Check it.

Malik B of the legendary Roots crew has teamed up with Jersey producer Mr. Green for this single entitled "Definition". It's got a simple boom-bap beat to it, some simple scratching in the chorus, and some raw vocals from Malik B.

Slaughter Rico is unlike any other. I first heard of this guy from my cousin who showed me his "5 Dolla Nigga" video. I thought he was dope as fuck, but he rarely drops new content. Behind the Scenes: "Dangerous Three" by RA the Rugged Man ft. Brother Ali & Masta Ace

One album that I'm looking forward to this month is RA the Rugged Man's "Legends Never Die", which will be released on April 30. This video takes you behind the scenes of just one of the songs from the album. First off, Mr. Green takes you through the production process of the song's instrumental, and leads into RA goin nuts over Brother Ali's part. Later on RA steps in the booth and starts wreckin shit. The scratch part he was showing off sounds so sick.. I need to contact that DJ lol. Anyways, check it.

Live From The Streets: "Tent City"

If you follow us regularly, you'll know that we keep up on Mr. Green's "Live From The Streets" series. This morning I found a new addition to the series, with another interesting use of a sample. This time, Mr. Green visits a small village called "Tent City", where around 40 people live together in tents. He meets up with one of the citizens, gets his story, and a recording of him singing. Later, the recording was sampled into a beat that Mr. Green would proceed to get two emcees to spit over. Mr. Green has produced instrumentals for well-known emcees including Pace Won, Young Zee, Jedi Mind Tricks, and several others. If you search him on YouTube, he's most popular for his "Live From the Streets" series. This series takes you on a journey through the neighbourhoods of many cities in the United States, where Mr. Green is on a search for street performers. He'll record audio clips of the street performers and take the audio files back to the lab and create a beat out of the samples. I think this is a really creative way of showing people that there's more to music than just instruments and typical composition. Creativity and imagination are also key elements to producing unique sounds. This is just one example of the many videos he's contributed to this interesting series. Open Ya Earz!
