This shit is siiiick. Makes me wonder why the hell Slaughterhouse wasn't featured on the MMLP2. Even Big Tigger coulda had a verse on there haha. Dope shit.

Alright so this track makes things interesting after the two previous MMLP2 releases. I didn't like Berzerk, and Survival was alright but I wasn't feelin' the beat. After a few listens, I think this new Rap God track is better than both. There's still a few weird parts, but man... Eminem's delivery in this shit is dope. A lot of sick rhymes in there, and it sounds more like what Eminem's music should sound like in 2013. But yea, the title of this song speaks for itself. Check it.

Not really a fan of this beat. But I prefer Eminem's lyrics in this track over that Berzerk track that everyone's raving about. Combining a gritty backdrop with scenes from the upcoming Call of Duty: Ghosts, Eminem dropped some visuals for the single. Check it.

"Difficult" by Eminem

"This might sound a little strange but I'mma tell it, I found that jacket that you left at my wedding, I picked it up to smell it/

 I wrapped it up in plastic until I put it in glass and hung it up in my hallway so I can always look at it"

 

So when I was a little younger I was a huge fan of Eminem, I had all of his cds and diss tracks, even his stuff from Infinite and I was sure I'd almost heard every Eminem song there ever was. But the other day a friend showed me this song and I was like what the hell is this, I've never heard it. It's a couple years old now but this song is a tribute to Proof and it's pretty heavy. After some searching around there's a little speculation whether Eminem ever actually wanted to release this track because it was leaked. And as you can tell its sort of an uncomplete song with weird sound effects and a kind of raw skeletal feeling. But I've heard the song "You're Never Over" from Recovery which is also a tribute to Proof and the songs are like night and day. "You're Never Over" was a great song but this one had so much more pain and emotion in it and really felt like Em just using the mic for therapy to ease his own soul. The reason I shared this was more for how passionate it was but even on a hip hop level Em still keeps the rhymes tight and the beat has a simple, chilling feeling. This track is fucking sick. The beat has some of that old school Slim Shady feel to it. I always get disappointed when they mention Eminem as a feature, and he just does the chorus. But whatever, sometimes it's better when he doesn't drop a sixteen. House Gang murdered this shit though. They all sound so intense with their whispering voices lol. But it's pretty much just raw lyricism and Royce's funny lines. One thing I wanna know though. Where the fuck is Joe Beezy?

Video Trailer: Something From Nothing

  It's been a while since I've seen a movie preview that made me wanna go to the theatre. That's until this morning when I found a preview for a hip-hop documentary directed and hosted by Ice-T. The film is called "Something From Nothing: The Art of Rap" and seems to have many different guest speakers who have made an impact on hip-hop. Check out this trailer, it seems like a pretty cool film!

Old School Sundays: Infinite by Eminem

To get this "Old School Sundays" edition poppin' off, I figured there's no better way to introduce it than sharing this song. This could possibly be my favourite multi-syllable-based rap track ever. The way Eminem used to assemble his rhymes is unreal. This is from his first album, Infinite, which was released in 1996. I read in a book I have that Eminem doesn't like to consider this his first album, because he made it at a point in his life where he was trying to find his niche in the rap game. Which is funny to me because this album is probably his best display of lyrical skill, in my opinion. At the same time I agree with him to an extent just because the next 3 albums following this one displayed a whole different level of entertainment. Regardless, I still love this gritty old school feel. Open ya Earz!
