So I fell off the hype of Mac Miller for a while cuz once he started sipping that codeine I wasn't understanding his vision so much. I just didn't appreciate his music as much, it was still always hot stuff but it wasn't my taste. But I like to check up on his new shit cuz he's sick with the rhymes but this one video blew my mind. The first minute or so is a recap of some videos, reminiscing some of his projects over the past year but be patient. Once you see Mac standin in a field looking a little bit like John Lennon your in for a masterpiece. Mac brings some really introspective lyrics to an incredible beat which creates an ambience I can't get enough of. As if the instrumental wasn't heavy enough it continues to build into a faster and more throbbing structure which really feels like it's taking you on a journey. The psychadelic effects and imagery of the video also seem to thump and breathe along in perfect flux with the song. I feel this song is about Mac's struggle with fame, or atleast that's how I interpret some of what he says, particularly towards the end. Anyways, thought this was psychadelic and beautifully done. So here is the final project of the long awaited Strange Music and Snow tha Product collaboration. They both kill the lyrics and I particularly thought Snow bodied shit, even Kaliko haha. The whole battle set up was jokes but I would've had to been standing with Tech and Rittz on Snow's side. She was choppin really precisely with sick rhymes. Hence why I chose her for lyrics. It was cool seeing some of the Strange family hangin around in the video. I know I saw Kutt Calhoun and E40 in there, but there may be more. I'd feel pretty cool if I was Snow destroying bars and having the whole army of elite Strange muh fuckas rocking around me. Anyways check it out!

It seems like it's been forever since Papoose first stated that "The Nacirema Dream" was soon to be released. Apparently, this song is from the long awaited CD, and even if it isn't I'm not gonna complain. Papoose proves once again that he is definitely on top of his game. I've been hoping for more music from him ever since I heard his "5 Fingers of Death" freestyle on Sway In The Morning. Anyways, if you like multi-syllable rhymes... this tracks for you!

"Inner Ninja" by Classified ft. David Myles

Awww yeah. It's a fucking beautiful day out here in Kitchener. The sun's shining, it's relatively warm out, and Classified decided to drop a video with some feel good music. I'm assuming that this is one of the featured singles from his upcoming, untitled album. He's already released the song, and a makeshift video with old kung-fu movie scenes. But this video kinda made me think Classified made this song for a general audience. There's kids in the video, and singing in the song. Dont get it twisted tho. On a hip-hop level, Classified still bodied this track. The rhymes are crazy, and the production is very well done. If you have yet to find your inner ninja, this will definitely help you expose it!

I don't bump Saigon that often cuz I have a little bit of a weirder taste but Brenton has one of his songs playin often enough that I know he's dope and really down to earth and just an all around good straight hip hop cat. This song kinda seems like one that's gonna pass by in a day or so without barely anyone taking notice when it was actually a very self conscious song. One that down the road people will look back and realize how much this song defined a generation that you can easily observe all around you if you take a second to be mindful. I don`t really know what else to say about this song, just kinda spoke to me in a way. Check it out, hope you enjoy.

Awwwww shiitttt, the Chamilitary man has jumped on the instrumental for Ill Mind of Hopsin 5 and showed us his own ill mind. First off I was just happy to see Chamillionaire rocking a Hopsin instrumental, real recognize real you know what I'm sayin. Especially since I've seen Chamillionaire hooking up with Krizz Kaliko, Rittz, and Crooked I this past year just to name a few. But fuck! Chamillionaire came fuckin hard on this and destroyed the entire mainstream game of weak ass rappers in a very intelligent way. He didn't go out just making fun of em but broke down the whole situation of what these rappers are really doing in comparison to him. Some of this verse is straight fire though, Chamillionaire's got an ill mind too. A Hopsin and Chamilitary collab could be awesome in the future. Check it!

DMX Sings "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer"

 

 

Well it's finally December and I decided maybe I should spread a little bit of that Christmas cheer. Ahh what would we do without DMX in the rap game? Ripping christmas carols like a G and keeping all those pussy ass rappers from ruining em. The shit actually sounded dope once he started laying the beat on the table, Santa should get DMX to remix that shit for real so he can bang that in his sleigh. Would probably make Rudolph feel pretty G too.
